This is an original 1967 SS396 4 speed car. It came from the factory with gold exterior and black vinyl top with a gold interior. It had a 325hp 396, muncie 4 speed, and 12 bolt posi.
Here the car has been stripped, the interior is gutted in order to get ready to paint. This Chevelle will eventually undergo a complete frame off restoration.
Back fresh from the paint shop, the owner has decided to stay with the original gold and black vinyl top.
Only a few modifications will be made to this car such as a shaved firewall, and the interior will be changed over to black.
For drivability, the owner decided to go with a 502ci 502hp crate motor, and 12" disc brakes. Of course the rest of the drive train will be rebuilt, including a completely new muncie with an AGE Supercase, and a rebuilt 12 bolt rearend with an Eaton posi, new 3.73 gears, and new axles. Here you can get a better look at the firewall and also note the entire frame and suspension components have been powder coated.
